The Westman Palace was built in the 19th century precisely because there were no large graceful halls of this kind.
The palace has played an important role over the years. For example, from 1831 the rooms were used for the exhibition of the Natural History Collection.
It was a huge collection of stuffed animals from all over the world that later became the Natural History Museum.
Today the building is managed by Vasakronan. There are offices, a restaurant, banqueting rooms and a conference centre.
